Dr Sharmila Jandial is a Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist at the Great North Children's Hospital. Her clinical work focusses on delivering high quality multidisciplinary care for children and young people with rheumatological disease across the North East of England and North Cumbria. She has a particular interest in auto inflammatory diseases and paediatric uveitis. Sharmila's academic work has focussed on developing and evaluating evidence-based educational resources for paediatric musculoskeletal medicine for all healthcare professionals involved in the care of children and young people. The goal of these resources is to improve awareness recognition of paediatric musculoskeletal disease in order to facilitate timely and appropriate diagnosis.
