Sarah Hart
Sarah works as Podiatry and Orthotics Service Manager/Professional Lead and Clinical Lead for Diabetes Footcare NHSE-Midlands. She has co-chaired West Midlands Diabetes Footcare Network since 2017 and led teams in the NHS and voluntary organisations; using her cross transferable skills to support and challenge, interrogate data, reduce inequality and improve/measure outcomes to:
• Improve local NDFA audit data capturing digitally- via a national quality improvement collaboration.
• Lead standardisation of pathways to improve diabetes foot outcomes.
• Develop and support region network peer reviews.
• Develop a new MDFT working with primary/secondary/tertiary/community/ commissioning/private and voluntary sectors. Reducing time to first MDFT assessment, improving patient safety and care close to home.
She has co-authored articles regarding NDFA, Learning from Covid and Developing a more efficient Podiatry service. In 2022 she received The Royal College of Podiatry Award in recognition of the “excellence she has demonstrated and the significant impact and contribution she has made throughout her professional life”.
