Martin has been passionate about injection therapies in podiatry for a great number of years and has trained hundreds of podiatrists in this skill area in the last two decades. He currently consults at the Priory and other hospitals in the west midlands as well as being the elected Director of Education and a senior tutor for the Institute of Podiatrists. He is convinced that UK podiatry lags substantially behind other nations in utilising this effective and easily acquired skill by Podiatrists who are already licensed to inject medicines (POM-A). As one of the early supplementary prescribers he subsequently served and contributed to the Department of Health project board set up to develop independent prescribing in the UK and various subsequent projects. He is a keen motorcyclist and master SCUBA diver in his spare time
