Fiona McCurdy
Fiona qualified from Robert Gordons University in 1998 with a BSc in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary since then, initially in a rotational position, covering Burns and Plastics, Orthopaedics, Stroke and general medical specialities, but ultimately, settled in a static position Rheumatology in 2006 following maternity leave. Fiona has a particular interest in Osteoarthritis of the hand and as an Occupational Therapist feels that her skills are well suited to helping people to manage this condition. Currently she runs clinics to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment for those who have been referred with likely Osteoarthritis of the hand. She has also been involved in the short life working group developing a pathway for people with this condition. Fiona lives in Aberdeenshire with her husband and two sons and enjoys playing badminton and pottering in her garden.
