Childrens nurse working across acute settings such as childrens bone marrow transplant, PICU, oncology, specialist nurse in immunology for children requiring bone marrow transplants, prior to completing Health Visiting degree and working in diverse community settings. This followed by a role as Assistant professor at Northumbria university, teaching pre registration childrens nurses and leading the post registration SCPHN programmes, joining the NMC in 2022 as nurse education advisor. Elaine has a research interest in supporting families access child development services, with a publishing profile including academic nursing text books and journal articles focused on childrens and community care.
