I qualified as a Podiatrist in 2016 from Salford University following a career change. Since qualifying I have worked in routine foot and nail care, wound care, high risk, nail surgery and MSK both in the NHS and private practice. Further qualifications in injection therapy and an MSc in Clinical Biomechanics at Staffordshire University have allowed me to advance in my role as an MSK Specialist Podiatrist, and take the lead in researching the plantar fascia’s response to load on ultrasound. The work carried out for the MSc research project has enhanced my understanding of soft tissue function and now underpins my clinical practice.
