Dr Onebieni Ana
GP and MSK National Trainer, Versus Arthritis
Dr Onebieni Ana has a background in genetics from the University of Leicester which provided a robust academic foundation for his subsequent degree in medicine at St Georges in London. He developed a keen interest in Sports and Exercise medicine in addition to General Practice during his time at Georges. After his medical degree he completed his foundation training in the Oxford deanery before successfully achieving his Masters at Queen Mary's University of London with a research area in Achilles tendinopathies. He subsequently attained his membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) prior to working as a physical activity GP clinical champion for Public Health England. Dr Ana has over a decade of sports medicine experience, ranging from participation in the Commonwealth games in Scotland in 2014, Australia in 2018, work in the regional rehabilitation unit for the British military, to his current role as a national MSK trainer for VA (Versus Arthritis). Dr Ana is a passionate GP and uses his additional knowledge to optimise the clinical care that he provides to his patients, his work within sports medicine, the Public Health arena and musculoskeletal medicine.
