Dr Aisha Janjua
Consultant Obstetrician and Lead for Diabetes in Pregnancy, Birmingham Women's Hospital
Dr. Aisha Janjua is a Consultant Obstetrician and Lead for Diabetes in Pregnancy at Birmingham Women’s Hospital (BWH), a tertiary maternal medicine unit. She runs the pre-pregnancy service jointly with Dr Pushpa Singh at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the joint obstetric diabetes service at BWH looking after more than 1500 women each year. Aisha is an Associate Professor for Medical Education at the University of Birmingham, and is the Education Resources Adviser for the RCOG. She is a co-editor for the Oxford Handbook of Medical School, has been involved with the GMC Curriculum Advisory Committee and is on the RCOG Editorial Board. She is on the Faculty for Baby Lifeline training for the Enhanced Medical Care course.
