Improving Activity Data in General Practice for Quality Improvement and Planning

15 May 2024
Practice and Business Management Programme

The way care is delivered in general practice has changed. There is a new workforce and new ways of accessing care, such as remote access, remote working and roles shared across organisations. Primary care needs to have good quality data to understand who is doing what and how to understand whether the changes are working, to better understand workflow and to inform workforce and estates planning to drive better outcomes for people and the whole population. Dr Nilesh Bharakhada, Executive Clinical Director at the PRSB and a practising GP, will present this work and speak about how this project aims to improve access to general practice for patients and staff workload by improving the data available to GP practices, primary care networks and integrated care systems.
